I had the privilege of creating illustrations for "Legends of Rabbah Bar Bar Hannah," a captivating book by Bezalel Naor that brings to life extraordinary tales from the Talmud. This collection showcases Rabbi Bar Bar Hanna’s journeys, filled with miraculous encounters and awe-inspiring creatures.
My illustrations aim to visually capture the essence of these stories, with a surrealist aesthetic, depicting the majestic animals, the desert dwellers attuned to hidden springs, and the rich landscapes that Rabbi Bar Bar Hanna traversed. Each piece is inspired by the interpretations offered by Naor, reflecting the spirit of Rabbi Avraham Isaac Kook's Torah and enhancing the reader's experience of these timeless narratives.
Through this project, I sought to merge tradition with artistry, inviting readers to explore these ancient legends in a new and engaging way.
